Resident Engagement

Our Resident Engagement strategy is made up various channels for which we ask our tenants to be involved. Please see the options below to decide which would suit you best.

Get Involved:

Resident Association

No one knows your block, road, or estate better than you, so who better to represent your area? WCC’s Resident Engagement Team currently support over 35 resident groups across the city.

Resident Focus Group

WCC offer a regular forum if you're unable to attend regular meetings. This is an informal way to get involved in decisions about your home and neighbourhood.

Resident Panel

WCH owned panel of delegates who meet on a quarterly basis at our estate office to discuss matters arising. They scrutinise and monitor the housing service and challenge things they don’t think are working. Find out more below.

WCH Resident Panel

This will be a group of up to 10 residents who help shape the housing services you receive. They scrutinise and monitor the housing service and challenge things they don’t think are working. They chair the Resident Forum and set the agenda for future meetings.  The Panel is made up of tenants and leaseholders.

Why should you take part?

  • Help to lead the direction of the housing service and drive improvement

  • Work collaboratively with officers and managers and gain understanding of how Westminster Community Homes work

  • Develop new skills in leadership, service design, monitoring and reporting and communication, which will look great on your CV

  • Access training and attend conferences

  • Meet other residents

Time commitment:

Members join a meeting every 3 months for up to 2 hours and are also sent information to read between meetings.

Approximately 4 hours every 3 months.  The location of these will be decided at the first resident meeting - whether the panel would like to meet face-to-face at one of our offices, or virtually on a Teams meeting, is up to you.

The panel will be decided following an informal interview process to ensure that the candidates are engaged in the process and would have the capacity to join. If you would like to participate please contact westminstercommunityhomes@westminster.gov.uk with the subject Resident Panel Candidacy.
